Metropolitan Club of the Year 2020/2021 award
Immediate Past President Dave Webber accepted the award in recognition of his role in developing the submission and his dedication to the Club for so long, being involved in one way or another in almost all of the activities, which together contributed to the winning of the Award. It proved a fitting and well deserved way for Dave to end his term as President.
This is a really amazing achievement for a Club as young as it is. But it is testament to how much the Club is doing right. The credit for this extends back to a succession of past Presidents and Club Officials and older members of the Club right up to members at the present time. A reading of our submission shows the extent of the Club’s activities in the Community, the range of social bowling activities provided, our success competitively on the greens and the way in which the profile of the Club has been lifted. None of this could have occurred without our hard working committees and especially all those members who volunteer their time to assist in the planning, preparation and running of these activities. A big thank you to each and every one of you.
BowlsWA Coach of the year 2020 2021
Immediate Past President Dave Webber Dave accepted the award on behalf of Geoff who is away on holiday and was therefore unable to attend. Under questioning from the Master of Ceremonies Dave gave a glimpse of the almost unbelievable amount of time and effort that has been put in by Geoff over many years. Geoff has done an incredible job coaching prospective members, new members, including junior members and competitive players, providing skill exercises throughout the Pennant’s season. That in addition to many other ways in which Geoff has contributed to the Club.
Mary and Dave Webber enjoying the awards night.
